NOVEMBER 2025 MINUTES
School Community Council
Nov 12, 2025
Attendance-Launi, Sheri, Kerri, Kathy, Candis
- School Lunch update
Off to a good start. We have hired a lunch lady, We serve both breakfast and lunch
- Safety update
Still No cross walk. Logan City does want to help. Their suggestions make the situation more dangerous. We are only asking for signs to say it is a school zone, crosswalk signs and lines painted, for it to be safer for students to cross safely to and from Btech. This affects all schools in our district who use bussing to get to and from their high schools to Btech.
- Trustlands timeline
Rules of order and training. Trustland video contest
- PBIS update
Tier 1-We have expectations hung around school and in classrooms. Every Wednesday we go over one area (Parking lot and bus stop, restroom, Halls, Commons, Assemblies and Field Trips, Classroom, BTech) of our expectations.
Tier 2- Attendance. Mentoring students
- College/Career readiness
- BTech Hard to get into classes. They fill up too quickly. Some classes fill up in 4 mins or less. Seniors who are part way through a certificate couldn’t get into the next session. Changes need to be made on process or number of slots.
- College Access-was able to take 6 students to Utah State for a tour and learn more about Utah State and what they offer
- FAFSA night-During PTC on Dec 15
- Other updates:
- Red Ribbon Week-Fun Week
- Veteran’s Day-Wrote Letters and decorated cards for military members
- Reading challenge-Goosebumps-If we reach our goals by Thursday, Teachers and staff had challenges they will complete
- Kindness month-Will Start 3rd term through Christmas break. Students will write their kindness on cards and later there will be a drawing for prizes.
December 2025 Minutes
School Community Council
December 2025
No Physical meeting, email send to council members.
1) We have no new information or updates on the road safety issue. Our bus signs have not been returned, the crosswalks are still in the same places on the blocks with no signage or lights. The buses are still pickling up in the same place with BTech students crossing the road to board the bus. Nothing has changed since the big meeting with all the players. Suggestions?
2) Our Counseling Interim Review will take place on Dec 11. Results of the review will be on the agenda for our next meeting.
3) Accreditation for the entire school is coming up next November. We are starting to prepare for it now! Details to come!
4) Our PBIS plan has been turned in. We will be working on those goals for the rest of the year.
5) The next Star 360 test will be given on January 27th. This is the measure that we will use for our Reading and Math growth scores for the Trustland goals.
6) Thanks for your support, especially throughout the last month. Losing another student suddenly has been very hard on our students and staff. We had to circle the wagons and prioritize taking care of each other these past few weeks. Please have a safe and happy holiday! We'll see you in January!

February 11, 2026
Meeting Details: Email updates and follow up
Agenda:
- Attendance: Via email
- Review and approval of last month’s minutes:
- PBIS - we have a walk-through scheduled with the District behavior personnel on March 2. They have sent us a template for the meeting. This will be discussed during the March meeting.
- Star 360 - we gave the interim test (this is given 3 times yearly in hopes of catching most students at least twice in order to show a growth score). So far we are showing a 8.9% overall growth in Reading and a 10% overall growth in Math. Our goal is 5% in each, so we are very happy with what we are seeing on this second test. The last test will be given in April.
- Trustland - the date for having our plan complete has been set back again. We'll keep you informed on the date to review and sign the new plan.
- Safety - no new progress has been made on signage or crosswalks on 1200 north (in front of the school).
- School activities: some of our students attended the Career Fair at Green Canyon. It was very well organized with lots of options for students to visit.
- Several students participated in an FFA leadership conference at USU.
- The ACT test for juniors will be given on March 11.
- We are starting Health Relationships Week today.
***We'd like to change the next meeting to March 18 rather than the 11th due to a conflict with the ACT test. Please let me know if that date will work for you!
