Minutes:

• Review and approval of last month’s minutes
• In attendance: Sheri Hansen, Launi Evans, Kathy Christiansen, Melissa Niederhauser, Melissa Duce
• Trustland updates
  • Star 360 is our growth measure for the school and it is given three times during the school year.
    • We have results from the initial test to use as a baseline.
  • We discussed the books and vocabulary that will be used for term 3 reading hour.
    • The books for this program are purchased using Trustland finds.

• Safety updates
  • Our Safety committee is made up of most of our teachers and staff.
  • We have been attending monthly meetings held by the district and recently focused on Evacuation.
  • We are going to participate in a County-wide drill next Tuesday where we are given a scenario and must respond. We will report back next month on how the drill went.
  • Safe and Healthy Schools - monthly online meeting
  • DIRS drill on Tues. November 14
• Positive behaviors Plan
  • Our updated PBIS plan is due on Nov. 21 and will have most of the same interventions and incentives that were in last year’s plan.
  • We will be adding a few things like a Grief/Loss group and more partnerships for therapy in the community.

• Upcoming activities
  • Service projects and an assembly to honor Veterans will be coming up in the next month, and we will report back on how they went.
  • Veterans Day Celebration - Friday, Nov. 10
  • Crochet Blanket Hand Out - 1st hour target ( Baby Blankets: 2 Students)
• Concerns
  • Sheri was concerned about the low turnout at PTC and wondered how the parent members of the committee felt about it.
    • Both members in attendance agreed that the liked having PTC the way it currently is held.
  • We also discussed having someone contact the mobile food pantry to see if we can get more consistent delivery.
    • One parent member (Melissa N.) asked if she contribute some food as a service project from her family.
  • Should we continue PTC?
  • Food Pantry Concerns - not getting delivered weekly

  • discussion around the new staff evaluations for all members of the school staff, included para-pros.

  • May 15- final meeting updates for next year.-Sheriff office hiring a Chief of Safety to work with schools
  • Presented to the committee about our Psychology 2 class and our mindfulness program.
• CCGP Data Project:
  • Btech Retention: went over the project and results from it. Improvement has been made as far as the number of students signing up and how many stay in the program.
• Upcoming activities
  • Greenhouse sale
  • Teacher appreciation week-plus baby shower
  • Mental Health awareness month-positive ways to deal with problems and a treat to go with it.

  • How to have attendance communicated between BTECH and High Schools
